Coombe Abbey – Medieval Themed Wedding photography with the lovely Charlie and Danny on their wedding day last Autumn.

A medieval-themed wedding in the historic Abbeygate at the popular Coombe Abbey Hotel, near Coventry was the choice of venue for this special couple. A fun-packed wedding with so much going on it made for great photos with all the costumes, and entertainment.

Charlie and Danny both prepared at Coombe Abbey in the morning in separate large feature rooms with their guys and girls. I had my second photographer Rich on hand, for this one and we captured lots of getting ready photos for both.

The Abbeygate was dressed beautifully and many guests were in costume which made for great photos. A celebrant carried out a handfasting ceremony with an owl flying down the aisle delivering the rings.

We soon headed out on to the west terrace for photos on what was a mild late October Day. We covered the candid and group photos of family guests before taking the happy couple off for some photos.

The wedding breakfast and evening partying were all taking place in the Abbeygate as the couple wanted to keep with their medieval theme.

I covered the evening as I always do as standard and the light didn’t let me down with some lovely portraits of the happy couple.

After the first dance and some partying, the happy couple had a few night shots to finish and I said my farewell.
