Sophie and Josh’s micro wedding
Micro Wedding Photography Crockwell Farm – After a crazy busy 2021, I’m now catching up again on my wedding blogs from earlier last year.
This lovely sweet couple booked me way back in 2018 and after covering some engagement portraits in 2019 I knew these guys were up for a but of fun on their big day. Who know that everything would grind to a halt in 2020 with weddings and events.
Sophie and Josh were one of our many summer 2020 couples who were forced to delay their main celebration. The pair did hold an intimate ceremony for their closest family in June 2020 at Crockwell, wanting to be legally married as soon as possible. The course of the pandemic did not run smoothly and despite postponing by a whole year, for their new date in June 2021 the 30 person limit remained in place. However, Sophie and Josh did not let this deter them and chose to hold the most wonderful micro wedding celebration.
Considering the maximum numbers were 30 guests, this was some party as you will see in the photos below. Partying wasn’t allowed indoors with the restrictions in place at that time so these guys danced the night away outside on the veranda. They were blessed with lovely weather and a gorgeous sunset meant we had to go and do a few special photos later on.
Congratulations Sophie and Josh on making this day eventually happen. You guys had the most amazing time which was a dream to photograph.

Planning your wedding at Crockwell?
There is so much to consider when planning your special day. Once you have booked your venue, it’s important to search for key suppliers. Ideally, start by searching for a wedding photographer in the area. Most venues have recommended suppliers and hold a wedding fayre a couple of times a year so, you can find other suppliers too. Meeting with the photographer is really helpful to establish a connection before your wedding day. I have a meeting room with lots of my storybook albums and wall art for couples to browse over.
If you’re looking for a wedding photographer for your special day, feel free to browse through lots of my posts on my blog with real weddings to help you understand my natural style of documenting a wedding along with some beautiful portraits of the couple.
