Newborn photography is a lovely way to record your baby’s first days in the world. Newborn shoots are ideally booked a couple of months prior to the due date. The date can be rescheduled depending on delivery, but it’s always best to get something in the diary nice and early to ensure you don’t miss out.
To achieve the sleepy poses, it needs to take place within 20 days of the birth, otherwise, babies resist the poses and will not sleep deeply enough through the shoot. Newborn photography takes a little bit of planning and patience to get it right. Babies may want more regular feeding the older they get, so please allow for this.
The shoot takes place in my studio or your home, lasting up to 1.5 hours. With many props and backdrops, the studio is a popular choice. Parents often join in for photos with the newborn, creating beautiful family portraits.
